I was asked to provide the cover for the Free Comic Book Day 2019 issue of Titan Comics' Doctor Who range, which will be available free from participating comic stores all over the world in May 2019.
The Free Comic Book Day issue is the most widely distributed issue of the range each year, and acts as a way to draw in new readers.
The artwork had to be produced and delivered far ahead of our usual deadlines to ensure it had the time to get through extra levels of approval. As such, it was created when there were still very few images of the new Doctor available to work with. To this end, I composited several different images to create a unique image that would set us apart from other licensed merchandise that will be available by the time the issue hits shelves in May 2019.
